Pet Parents

At Pet Emergency Clinic of Pitt County, we understand you have a special connection with your pets, and we take that very seriously. We keep you informed so you can stay connected to your pet’s health care.

We understand that you could be concerned about the process that you and your pet are about to undertake. Rest assured, the Pet Emergency Clinic team is here for you.

What to expect

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time. We are dedicated to giving you outstanding service while keeping you and our staff safe.

Upon your arrival to our facility, your pet will be assessed by our triage staff to determine if it is in stable condition or should be seen immediately by a veterinarian. Patients will be seen in order of urgency and will be evaluated regularly to ensure their condition does not change during wait times.

We ask for your cooperation as we work to provide the best possible care for your pet.

If you have questions about this process, please feel free to call our office for clarification.

One of our veterinarians will perform a full physical exam of your pet and give you a call to explain the conditions. A medical plan with diagnosis and treatment options and a cost estimate will be provided.

Working with Your Veterinarian

We work as an extension of your general practice veterinarian when advanced or after-hours treatment is necessary. Pet Emergency Clinic will notify your veterinarian that your pet visited our facility and provide them with the follow-up information needed to continue your pet’s care.

Weeknights: 6pm-8am
Weekends: 24 hours
Holidays: 24 hours

Due to increased case volume, our wait times can become very extended. If you are not sure if your pet needs to be seen right away or have questions you hope to have answered for during your wait, we have partnered with two companies to help you assess your pet’s medical situation and needs.
