Pet Emergency Clinic of Pitt County

Pet Emergency Clinic is an extension of your general practice veterinarian’s office. When they are closed, we are open. This includes overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Our team of dedicated and experienced emergency and critical care focused veterinarians is available to help your family during times your daytime veterinarian is closed. Whether your dog has a cut paw or has endured life-threatening trauma, we are prepared to help your family with its emergency veterinary care needs.

Emergency Veterinary Care is available:

  • Overnights: Monday – Thursday 6:00 pm – 8:00 am
  • Weekends: We are open 24 hours Friday 6:00 pm – Monday 8:00 am
  • Holidays: We are open 24 hours during all major holidays

Payment Options

We accept cash, cashier’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.

If you require a payment plan, we offer health care credit plans which include CareCredit and Scratchpay. You can apply in person or online. If you are interested, please ask the receptionist for more details.

    Emergency Care for Pets

    ATTENTION: Due to positive COVID-19 cases within our staff, we will be closed Wednesday, January 12th, and will reopen on January 13 at 6:00 pm. If you are not sure if your pet has a true emergency, we encourage you to try one of our triage tools at to assess your pet’s medical situation and needs. If your pet still needs to be seen, you can contact Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Wilson or Emergency Pet Hospital Of Craven and Carteret at Havelock.
